Data Deletion

You can have your personal data deleted at any time. This is what MetaClip stores, and how to have it removed.

What MetaClip stores

  • Your account information — name and email address, held through Clerk
  • Access tokens for the TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts you connected, used to read the view counts on clips you submitted
  • Video submission records for the campaigns you took part in
  • View count history and the payout calculations derived from it
  • Your organisation membership, if you signed up as a studio

How to request deletion

Email us with the subject line Data Deletion Request, from or naming the email address on your MetaClip account. We delete everything listed above and write back to confirm once it is done. Requests are processed within 30 days.

Instagram and Facebook app data

If you connected Instagram through Facebook Login, MetaClip holds the OAuth access token and the basic profile figures needed to verify the account — username, follower count and post count. No posts, comments or messages are stored.

Removing MetaClip under Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites on Facebook sends Meta a deletion request, which we act on automatically: the Instagram connection — the token and those profile figures — is deleted when it arrives. It reaches no further than Instagram, so email us as well if you want the rest of your MetaClip account removed.

This page covers the data MetaClip holds. Deleting it does not remove the clips themselves from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube — those stay on the platform you posted them to, under your own account, and only you can take them down.
