Data Deletion

What MetaClip stores

• Your account: name, email address and sign-in details, held through Clerk
• The TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts you connected: access tokens, profile details, follower and view figures and audience breakdowns
• Your clip submissions, their view history and the earnings calculated from them
• Payout set-up with Stripe or Wise, and your withdrawals
• Linked Roblox and Discord accounts
• Your organisation and campaigns, if you are a studio

How to request deletion

Email us with the subject line Data Deletion Request from the email address on your MetaClip account, saying whether you want your whole account deleted or only one connected account. Withdraw any available balance first. We confirm by email once it is done, within 30 days, and within 7 days for YouTube data.

What we have to keep

UK tax law requires us to keep records of earnings, payouts and payments for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to. If an account was suspended for fraud, we keep the identifiers needed to stop it being reopened. Campaign totals stay on the site as anonymous figures. Everything else is deleted, and your clips are removed from public campaign pages.

Instagram

Removing MetaClip from your Instagram settings (Settings → Apps and websites) sends us a deletion request from Meta, which we act on automatically: the Instagram connection, its token and its profile and audience figures are deleted. It covers Instagram only, so email us as well if you want the rest of your account removed.

YouTube

You can remove MetaClip's access at any time in your Google account settings. We then delete the YouTube data we hold within 30 days, or within 7 days if you email us.
