Clipping jobs: per-view campaigns vs salaried clipper roles
Two kinds of clipping job: per-view campaigns anyone can join, and paid clipper roles for a streamer or channel. How each pays, what it needs, where to find it.
Updated ·
In short
- “Clipping job” means two different things: a per-view campaign anyone can join, or a paid role clipping one streamer’s or channel’s videos.
- Per-view campaigns pay a rate per 1,000 views of clips you post on your own accounts: $0.25 to $2 on MetaClip’s live Roblox campaigns and $0.45 to $2 on Content Rewards listings, 22 October 2026.
- Measured on MetaClip: the median approved clip earned $1.20, the median creator $2.52 in total, and 62% of clips passed the 1,000-view floor. That is side income for most, not a wage.
- Salaried roles pay for time: one full-time remote clipper listing offered $420 to $750 a month base for 45 hours a week of watching streams, clipping, editing, thumbnails and titles.
- Both are remote. For beginners, per-view campaigns are the open door: no application, and every approved clip is a portfolio piece with a view count.
What are the two kinds of clipping job?
| Per-view campaign | Salaried clipper role | |
|---|---|---|
| Who pays | The brand or studio funding the campaign, through a platform | The streamer, channel or agency that hires you |
| How | Per 1,000 views of clips you post on your own accounts | A monthly salary or hourly rate for clips you make for their channel |
| Pay seen | $0.25 to $2 per 1,000 views on MetaClip; $0.45 to $2 on Content Rewards listings | $420 to $750 a month base for 45 hours a week, in one full-time listing |
| To start | An account on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube; usually no follower minimum | An application and examples of past clips |
| Risk | A clip under 1,000 views earns nothing | Fixed pay, but you depend on one employer |
| Hours | Your own | Set by the employer |

How do per-view clipping campaigns pay?
A clip earns floor(views ÷ 1,000) × the campaign’s rate, up to any cap, minus the platform’s fee: 15% on MetaClip, 10% on Content Rewards. Vyro withdrawals start at $10 once a week (vyro.com). On MetaClip each day’s earnings are held 7 days, then withdrawable.
MetaClip data, 22 October 2026: 37 creators, 230 approved clips, a median of $1.20 per clip and $2.52 per creator. The top 10% of clips took 57% of all payouts. The earnings guide has the full breakdown, and clipping campaigns lists where campaigns are posted.
What does a salaried clipper role look like?
Streamers and channels hire clippers to turn long videos into short ones for their own accounts. One listing, “VTuber Clipper/Editor on YouTube” (full time, remote, posted 18 September 2025), described the work: watch VODs on Twitch or YouTube, find and clip the best moments, edit with zooms and subtitles, make thumbnails, write titles and submit videos daily. It offered $420 to $750 a month base for 45 hours a week, plus performance bonuses (listing).
That is one listing, not a market rate; pay for these roles is set by each employer. The clips belong to the employer’s channel, so the views build their audience, not yours.
Which suits a beginner?
- Start with campaigns: no application, no follower minimum on MetaClip unless a campaign sets one, and each approved clip has a public view count.
- Keep a record: links to your best clips with their view counts are the portfolio a salaried role asks for.
- Learn the tools: the recording guide covers capture, vertical editing and captions.
Can you do it from home, from any country?
Both kinds are remote. On per-view platforms the limit is the payout method: Content Rewards pays to a bank, PayPal, mobile wallet or crypto in 200+ countries with no minimum; MetaClip pays to a bank through Stripe Connect, or Wise where Stripe cannot reach, from $13. Check that a platform pays to your country before posting for it. For Roblox games, see MetaClip’s live campaigns.
Questions, answered
What is a clipping job?
Either a per-view clipping campaign, where you post short clips on your own accounts and are paid per 1,000 views, or a salaried or hourly role clipping one streamer’s or channel’s videos for them.
How much do clipping jobs pay?
Per-view campaigns pay a rate per 1,000 views; on MetaClip the median approved clip earned $1.20 (230 clips, 22 October 2026). Salaried roles pay for time: one full-time remote listing offered $420 to $750 a month base. Neither figure is a promise of what you will earn.
Can beginners get clipping jobs?
Per-view campaigns usually need no experience or followers, only a connected account and clips that follow the brief. Salaried roles ask for examples of past clips, which campaign clips with view counts can provide.
Are clipping jobs remote?
Yes, both kinds. Per-view platforms pay to bank accounts and wallets in many countries: Content Rewards lists 200+ countries; MetaClip pays by Stripe Connect or Wise from $13.
Are clipping jobs legit?
A per-view campaign is legitimate when its rate, cap, fee and payout method are written down and a named brand funds it through a platform. A role or campaign that asks you to pay to start is not a job.
