In short
- Roblox influencer marketing means paying YouTubers and TikTokers to show your game to their viewers. Smaller creators with steady views usually beat one big name for the same money.
- There are two ways to pay: a flat fee per sponsored video, agreed up front, or a rate per 1,000 views, paid only on views that happen.
- Flat fees for Roblox creators on one marketplace ran from $50 to $450 per video when we checked. On MetaClip, $300 at $1 per 1,000 views buys up to 300,000 verified views across as many creators as join.
- Track players, not just views: give each creator or campaign its own Roblox Share Link and read new users per link in the Creator Hub.
- Every paid video must be disclosed as an ad, on every platform.
What is Roblox influencer marketing?
It is paying people who post videos to show your game to their viewers: Roblox YouTubers, TikTokers, Shorts and Reels accounts, and streamers. Short-form video is where many players find new Roblox games, so a creator playing your game on camera puts it in front of people who already play Roblox.
The usual advice holds: many small and mid-sized creators beat one large one. A creator averaging 20,000 views on recent Roblox videos is worth more than one with 200,000 subscribers and 2,000 views per video, and five creators give you five chances to find the angle that sells your game.
Should you pay a flat fee or per view?
There are two ways to pay creators, and they shift the risk to different sides:
| Sponsored video (flat fee) | Clipping campaign (per view) | |
|---|---|---|
| You pay | A fixed fee, usually before posting | A rate per 1,000 verified views |
| If the video flops | You pay the same | You pay only for the views it got |
| Finding creators | You search, message and negotiate with each one | Creators join the campaign themselves |
| Number of videos | One per deal | As many as creators post, until the budget runs out |
| Creative control | Agreed in the contract | A written brief, and you approve each clip |
| Best for | One creator whose audience you already know | Testing many creators and angles at once |
Many studios use both: a per-view campaign to find which creators and clip styles work, then a flat-fee deal with the creator whose clips performed best.
Which creators should you work with?
- Views over followers. Look at the average of their last ten Roblox videos, not their subscriber count.
- Genre over size. A creator who plays simulators sells a simulator better than a bigger creator who plays shooters. Our genre guides cover simulators, tycoons, obbies, horror and battlegrounds.
- Short-form for reach, long-form for depth. TikTok, Reels and Shorts reach the most people for the money; a YouTube video shows the game for longer to fewer people.
- Real audiences. Comments that talk about the game are a better sign than a high view count with nothing underneath it.
The step-by-step version, with a message you can send, is in how to pay creators to promote your Roblox game.
How much does Roblox influencer marketing cost?
Flat fees depend on the creator. Roblox creators listed on Collabstr, a creator marketplace, charged from $50 for two UGC videos to $450 for a single TikTok video when we checked in October 2026 (see one listing and another). Large Roblox YouTubers negotiate privately.
A per-view campaign costs whatever budget you set. On MetaClip, $300 of creator budget at $1 per 1,000 views buys up to 300,000 verified views, and costs $341.01 in total with the 10% platform fee and 3.25% + $0.27 card processing. There is no minimum budget. The marketing cost guide has more worked budgets.
How do you track the players creators send?
Views tell you how many people saw the game. To see how many played, use Roblox’s own Share Links. You can make as many as you like for one game, so give each creator or campaign its own. Since February 2025 the Creator Hub reports, per link, new users, D7 retention, playtime and revenue, once at least five new users have joined through it (Roblox announcement).
Links only catch part of the traffic. YouTube made links in Shorts descriptions and comments unclickable in August 2023 (Tubefilter), and on TikTok and Reels the link usually lives in the bio, so most viewers search for the game by name instead. Put the game’s exact name on screen in every video, and compare your concurrent players before and after videos go up.
Do sponsored Roblox videos need to be disclosed?
Yes. Paid videos must say they are ads. In the US the FTC expects a clear disclosure whenever a creator is paid (FTC guidance), and TikTok, Instagram and YouTube each have a paid-promotion setting that labels the post. Put it in the brief so creators switch it on every time.
How do you run a pay-per-view creator campaign on MetaClip?
- Post your game with a budget and a rate per 1,000 views.
- Write a brief: what each clip must show, the game’s name on screen, and what is off-limits.
- Creators clip the game on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from their own accounts.
- You approve or reject every clip. Only approved clips earn.
- Views are read from the platform APIs every hour, and the budget pays out per verified 1,000 views.
