How to promote a Roblox game on Discord

Promote a Roblox game on Discord: your own server, directories, the rules, and the clipping servers (10K–121K members) that reach creators.

Updated ·

In short

  • Your own server is the channel you control: a reason to join inside the game, update posts, and a clips channel that feeds creators.
  • Directories such as Disboard and top.gg list public servers by tag; a listing is free reach for a server that is already active.
  • Posting in other people’s servers is bounded by their rules and Discord’s: unsolicited bulk messages are banned under Discord’s guidelines, and the Roblox Developer Forum bars soliciting other developers to advertise.
  • The creators who clip Roblox games sit in clipping servers: Clipping (121,236 members), Clipster (107,683), Clip Money (51,690), BloxClips (28,467), counted on 22 October 2026. A paid campaign is how a game reaches them.
  • MetaClip posts every new campaign to its Discord automatically, so launching a campaign is also a Discord post.

What should your own server do?

  • A reason to join inside the game: a code, an early look at the next update, a vote on what ships next. The game is the only place every player already is.
  • An updates channel that posts every change. Each update is a reason for players to come back and for creators to post.
  • A clips channel where players and creators drop their videos. It shows creators what gets watched and gives you footage for a campaign brief.
  • Roles for creators: a visible role for people who post clips of the game, with a channel where you share footage and briefs first.

Numbers to watch: joins per day from the in-game prompt, and how many members post in a week.

Where can you list the server?

Server directories list public servers by tag and let people search them. The two most used are Disboard and top.gg; Discord’s own server discovery lists the servers it admits. Tag the listing with the game’s name and genre, and with “roblox”, and write the description for someone who has never heard of the game.

What are the rules in other people’s servers?

Every server sets its own rules, and most Roblox servers have a promotion channel or none at all. Two sets of rules sit above them:

  • Discord’s guidelines ban unsolicited bulk messages, self-bots and artificially inflating server membership (discord.com/guidelines, rules 13 to 15). Mass DMs of an invite are the thing those rules describe.
  • The Roblox Developer Forum allows Discord links only in its Bulletin Board, and bars soliciting other developers or Roblox employees to advertise products or services (forum rules).

The practical version: post where a server’s rules invite it, once, with a clip rather than a link, and answer replies. Anything that scales from there is a campaign, not a post.

Which servers hold the creators who clip Roblox?

Clipping servers are where paid campaigns get posted and where creators pick what to clip. Member counts from Discord’s public invite data on 22 October 2026:

ServerMembersCreatedWhat it posts
Clipping121,236November 2023Campaigns from many brands and agencies; the largest clipping server
Clipster107,683November 2024Campaigns for the Clipster platform
Clip Money51,690January 2025Short-form campaigns across platforms
ClipIt44,820May 2024Clipping and editing work for creators and brands
BloxClips28,467January 2026Roblox campaigns the agency runs on Content Rewards
MetaClip315January 2026Every MetaClip campaign the moment it goes live

You cannot post a game into these servers as a studio; their members respond to campaigns with a rate per 1,000 views. The clipping servers guide describes each one from the creator’s side.

How does a MetaClip campaign reach Discord?

When a campaign is paid and goes live, MetaClip posts it to its Discord with the studio name, the platforms and a link to the campaign page, so creators see it without you writing anything. Creators then submit clips from their connected accounts, you approve them, and you pay per 1,000 verified views. The campaign guide covers the rest; launch one when the server and the game page are ready.

Questions, answered

Can I promote my Roblox game in Discord servers for free?

In your own server and in directory listings, yes. In other servers only where their rules allow it: Discord’s guidelines ban unsolicited bulk messages, and the Roblox Developer Forum bars soliciting other developers to advertise, so unsolicited DMs and invite spam get accounts banned rather than players.

Which Discord servers have Roblox clippers in them?

The clipping servers: Clipping (121,236 members), Clipster (107,683), Clip Money (51,690), ClipIt (44,820) and BloxClips (28,467, Roblox only), counted on 22 October 2026. They post paid campaigns; creators there clip whatever pays.

How do I get clippers to post my game?

Run a per-view campaign. Creators in clipping servers choose campaigns by rate, cap and brief, and a campaign on MetaClip is posted to its Discord the moment it goes live. You pay only for verified views of clips you approved.

Is a Discord server worth it for a small Roblox game?

Yes, once there is something to post. Updates, polls and a clips channel keep the players you win and give creators footage. A server with no activity is worse than none, because the join prompt in the game sends people to an empty room.
